2. Important activities and events of HUBEX

According to the decision made yesterday, Dr. ZHANG Wenjian, director of HUBEX Headquarter issued the command by Fax today announcing that the HUBEX Intensive Observation Period (HUBEX IOP) will begin from June 11. More specifically, the Intensive Radiosonde Observation will begin at 00:00 o'clock of June 11, 1998 (UTC), and the Intensive Surface Meteorological Observation will begin at 12:00 o'clock of June 10, 1998 (UTC). All the meteorological bureaus of related provinces reconfirmed the delivery of the command.
